Coax Connector Adapters
Is Coax to Twisted-pair possible for cable TV signal?
I have a corrupted coax cable (for digital CTV/DVR) between a central junction box and the jack I want to use. Instead of running new coax, can I feed the good signal from the cable company through (otherwise isolated and unused) twisted-pair phone lines? Do I need to compensate for the impedence difference somehow or just get the signal through the proper connectors/adapters? Please answer specically for CTV/DVR, not networking. Theory is great but have any of you actually seen it work? Thanks!
